At Davies DIY & Builders Merchant we offer a full range of blocks of various strengths and qualities, including low thermal conductivity and acoustic performance. We stock dense aggregate, lightweight aggregate and aerated blocks to ensure we can offer you the right solution for whatever your project.  As well as blocks for construction purposes we also stock a wide range of decorative concrete block products such as Rockface Blocks and Decorative Screen Blocks.  These can all be finished off with items  such as our coping stones and pillar caps from our Concrete Products section. 
Standard Dense Concrete Block
  • Made from high quality aggregates and portland cement
  • Smooth face finish with clean sharp edges
  • Ideal for new build homes, extensions, general purpose building, retaining walls
  • Available in Paint Grade finish
  • Sizes available 440mm x 215mm x 100mm, 440mm x 215mm x 140mm
Dense Hollow Block
  • Can be used for the construction of high strength retaining walls, for external walls, cavity walls, partition walls and party walls
  • Enables services to be concealed within the walling without the need to cut chases
  • Reduced floor/ foundation loadings
  • Reduced unit weight for ease of handling
  • High levels of fire resistance and sound insulation

Rockface Blocks
  • Strong whilst attractive in appearance and aesthetically pleasing to look at
  • Ideal for garages, patios, feature walls, surrounds and steps
  • Provide a excellent finish without the need to paint or dash the wall once completed
  • Sizes available 450mm x 140mm x 140mm, 450mm x 140mm x 100mm
Coursing Bricks/Blocks
  • Designed to be used for all types of construction above and below dpc level
  • Infilling small areas such as lintel height, window/doors
  • Size available 215mm x 65mm x 100mm
Screen Blocks
  • Perfect way to provide an attractive partition
  • Choice of two patterns, Petal and Cubic
  • Ideal for patio screens, balconies, walls and decorative surrounds

Thermal Blocks
  • Manufactured by companies such as Thermalite & Celcon
  • Can be used below DPC and as infill for beam and block floors, as well as above ground in the walling applications
  • Can be used throughout a build in foundations, internal and external leaf of cavity walls, solid walls, separating walls, partitions, multi storey buildings, beam and block floors, flanking walls
  • Sizes available include 100mm, 140m & 150mm
