At Davies DIY & Builders Merchant our range of Thistle plasters are produced by British Gypsum, one of the worlds leading brands in plastering and building materials.  The preferred choice for generations of plasterers, Thistle plasters offer a full range of specific and multi-purpose solutions for all internal plastering needs and backgrounds.

Thistle plaster products are designed to suit either hand or machine application. Their consistent performance, workability and reliability is assured thanks to our exacting manufacturing standards, which enable plasterers to maximise productivity and cut product wastage on site.  Backed up by a range of compatible, high quality accessories, Thistle plasters produce a high quality surface that’s tough and durable. Thistle plasters meet all customer demands for an aesthetic, low maintenance internal surface finish for a range of standard and specialist applications.

​Thistle Board Finish
  • For low to medium suction backgrounds such as plasterboard
  • Nominal Bag weight 25kg
  • Approx 10 m/sq coverage at 2mm thickness
  • Approx. setting time 1.5 hours

​Thistle Multi-Finish
  • This versatile final coat plaster provides good results on most suction backgrounds. Thistle MultiFinish is the choice for plasterers working on both undercoats and board backgrounds on the same job.  Its flexibility makes it an ideal choice for small repair jobs and patching.
  • Suitable for application by hand or mechanical plastering machines 
  • Setting time for Thistle MultiFinish is 90 minutes. 
  • Coverage at 2mm thickness is 10 m/sq per 25kg bag 

​Thistle Bonding
  • For low suction backgrounds such as concrete & plasterboard
  • Coverage 2.75 m/sq based on 11mm thickness per 25kg bag

​Thistle Universal One Coat
  • Can be used as an undercoat and finish in one application on brick and block work and plasterboard.
  • Suitable for application by hand or mechanical plastering machine.
  • Coverage 2.25 m/sq based on 13mm thickness per 25kg bag
