MDF Board

Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure.  MDF is generally denser than plywood. It is made up of separated fibres, but can be used as a building material similar in application to plywood. It is stronger and much denser than particle board

Medium Density Fibreboard with a smooth sanded finish and completely free of natural defects.  MDF is suitable for a wide number of internal uses such as internal joinery, panelling, boxing in, furniture, shelving, modelling, jigsaws, shop fittings, and architectural mouldings.
Standard MDF
Standard MDF is an incredibly versatile interior panel, with a high internal bond strength, used extensively throughout the construction and furniture industries.

  • The panel has a smooth surface that is ideal for painting, grain printing or the application of paper foils and veneers
  • The panel can be worked easily with all conventional woodworking machines. It saws cleanly and drills easily. It also shapes and routs well, without splintering or chipping
  • The panel conforms to the latest European low emission standards 'E1'
  • Thicknesses available: 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm & 25mm

Moisture resistant MDF
Moisture resistant MDF is an incredibly versatile panel, with a high internal bond strength, used extensively throughout the construction and furniture industries, for interior applications that may be subject to occasional wetting or humidity.

  • The panel has a smooth surface that is ideal for painting, grain printing or the application of paper foils and veneers
  • The panel can be worked easily with all conventional woodworking machines. It saws cleanly and drills easily. It also shapes and routs well, without splintering or chipping
  • Can be used in areas of high humidity ie bathrooms and kitchens
