British Gypsum, Knauf, Siniat and Lafarge supply our range of plasterboard. It is suitable for a number of applications providing durable linings for walls and ceilings. We stock a comprehensive range that is available in a variety of sheet sizes and thicknesses depending upon your individual project need.   Acoustic plasterboard inhibits the passage of sound, thermal prevents the loss of energy from buildings, moisture control is for use in kitchens and bathrooms and fire protection plasterboard resists the spread of flames and heat. These are all necessary to meet ever-stringent building regulations.

Standard Wallboard
  • Wallboard enables a speedier installation of walls, partitions and ceilings over traditional construction methods that benefits the DIYer and professional alike.
  • Can be easily fixed to timber and metal partitions by mechanical fixings and to various brick/masonry backgrounds by drywall adhesive
  • Formulated to be easily finished by all thistle plaster products or Thistle jointing materials
  • Plasterboard is good for cutting down noise transmission particularly airborne sounds such as speech and music.
  • Available in both tapered edge or square edge finishes to allow different finish requirements. Tapered edge to enable an easy jointing or plaster skim finish, while square edge can be used for textured finishes.
  • Available in 2.4m x 1.2m & 1.8m x 0.9m size boards with thicknesses 9.5mm or 12.5mm
Fireshield Plasterboard
Fireshield is a plasterboard with glass fibre and other additives in the core, specifically developed to offer superior fire resistance performance when used in partitions, ceiling and lining systems and also for encasement and shaftwall system.

Moisture Resistant Plasterboard
Plasterboard with water repellent additives in the core, encased in a special green liner paper. Suitable for intermittent moisture applications.

Vapourshield/Foilbacked Plasterboard
Vapourshield or Foilbacked has a metallised polyester foil laminated on the grey paper face, creating an effective vapour barrier used for wall and ceiling linings where vapour control and a plasterboard lining are required in one fixing operation.

Acoustic/Sound Block Plasterboard
Plasterboard with a higher density core, designed for use in wall lining and partition systems where greater levels of sound insulation are required.

Thermal Plasterboard
The Thermal insulating plasterboard range is designed to enhance thermal insulation for both walls as well as in warm roof projects.
